The Annual New Year’s day Service of Remembrance took place on Sunday 1st January at the Station.
A short prayer and wreath blessing ceremony took place on board the all-weather lifeboat RNLB ANNIE BLAKER. During the ceremony, Fr Donal Roche and Rev Jack Kinkead remembered past RNLI volunteers and all associated with the sea from Wicklow.
A minutes silence was observed to remember Coast Guard volunteer Caitríona Lucas, who lost her life during the year while on a callout off the Clare coast.
After the ceremony, the wreaths and floral tributes were taken out to sea and launched in the bay.
