Gardai and Wicklow County Council have advised that the R115 and R759 roads that cross the Sally Gap are impassable.
Driving conditions are extremely hazardous in the area.
Please respect the signs and do not attempt to drive on these roads until further notice.
Outbreaks of rain today with some sleet possible, but there will be good dry periods as well. Highest temperatures of only 4 to 7 degrees and feeling colder even in the fresh northeast winds.
Tonight will be mainly dry at first, but rain will return to southern parts later in the night. It will be cold with lowest temperatures of 1 to 4 degrees with a slight frost. Later in the night temperatures will rise a bit and any frost will clear before dawn. It will also continue quite windy with fresh to strong easterly winds
Monday will also be a windy day with fresh to strong easterly winds. There will be a lot of dry weather, just a few outbreaks of rain. Some sunny breaks may occur, but it is likely to be mostly cloudy. Temperatures will gradually rise during the day, reaching 8 to 10 degrees in the afternoon.
