Our U14 girls travelled up to Meadow Vale Clonkeen RoadSouth County Dublin last Sunday for a friendly game with local team Cuala from Dalkey. It was a very worthwhile work out for the girls and getting an eight-point victory also added to the exercise. The team played very well and all the panel got some valuable game time. We were aided by a very strong breeze in the first half and played some excellent football, which saw us register a half time score of 4-03 to 0-00. This was thanks to some fine sharp shooting from Aoife Caffrey 1-1, Holly Mc Sorley 2-0 Georgia Kelly 1-0 with single points from Molly Sweeney and Ellen Griffin. However, we needed some strong defending in the second half after Cuala cut our lead to 4-03 to 2-1. However, a goal by Layla Hitchen 10 mins from time just eased the pressure somewhat.

Final Score: Cuala Dalkey 3-01 St. Patrick’s 5-03
Our starting 15 was: 1. Emer Kennedy, 2. Heather McInerney, 3. Ellen Griffin 4. Eva Rose Lawless, 5. Claire Sammon, 6. Julie Phelan, 7. Lauren Gregory 8. Georgia Kelly, 9. Leah Byrne 10. Leanne O Neill, 11. Aisling Walsh, 12. Holly McSorley 13. Aoife Caffrey, 14. Katie Shea 15. Molly Sweeney.

The other panel members used were: Lucy Rampersaud, Holly Corrigan, Ava Vickers, Christina Ashley, Layla Hitchen, Hope Downey, Ari BuzigouEabha Mooney, Ava Rawson
