Harris to seek Cabinet approval for the construction of the new National Children’s Hospital

Simon Harris will today seek Cabinet approval for the construction of the new National Children’s Hospital.

Construction on the project at St.James’s hospital is due to begin within weeks.

The new hospital will amalgamate Temple Street Hospital, Our Lady’s Hospital in Crumlin and the National Children’s Hospital in Tallaght and will have 380 en-suite rooms and 93 day beds.

The hospital which is set to cost a billion euro is due open by 2022.
