Today might have been the warmest day of the year so far but things are set to take a turn for the worst over the weekend.
Temperatures reached over 27 degrees in parts of Wicklow today and while tomorrow will start off the same, heavy rain is on the way.
The heavy rain will reach SW Munster and Connacht by tomorrow afternoon, with spot flooding and accumulations of up to 40 mm likely in places.
That rain will spread into Leinster by Saturday, and while the east might escape the heaviest, it could still cause some disruption to people heading to Slane.
Sunday looks like being a fresher day than we have had over the past few days but it is expected to remain largely dry.
