Senior Hurling Championship
We begin the defence of our county hurling crown on Tuesday against Greystones in Greystones at 7.30.. We then take on Carnew in Aughrim at 1.45 on Sunday. Please support this fantastic team.
Well done to all who made the Feile weekend such a great success and congratulations to the team for representing their club in such an exemplary fashion.
Ellen Kinch Memorial Cup
Bray Emmets Ladies showed their support for the Ellen Kinch Memorial Cup 7s tournament last Saturday and with only eight players, they had their work cut out for them. Our girls put it up to the opposing teams, including last year’s Leinster finalists, and left Tinahely with their heads held high (and only some minor sunburn).
The Kinch family has arranged the Ellen Kinch Memorial Cup since 2008, with any proceeds made on the day going to the worthy cause of Barrettstown charity.
The U14 Camogie team hosted Kilcoole in Páirc Emmet Bhré Monday 12th June. The game was played in a very good sporting spirit and the tussles were keenly contested throughout. However, with full-back Róisín Benville impervious, and Áine Farrell and the Canavan sisters with radars honed – Bray Emmets were always going to offer a Tour de force. The night ended in a Bray win which delighted team Mentors, Neal O’Doherty and Eugene Canavan.
Beidh an chéad chluiche eile in aghaidh Chill Téagáin.
Foireann : Áine Farrell (Captaen, 2-3), Alannah Harrington (1-1), Amy Butler (1-0), Aoife Canavan (3-0), Erica Brierton (1-0), Fionnuala Crowley (0-1), Madge Redmond (0-1), Mary-Anne Aherne (1-0), Pearl O’Connor (2-0), Róisín Benville, Saoirse Canavan (1-2). Bainisteoir – Brian Lambe.
U10 Camogie & Football
While the boys were doing us proud in the Feile the girls blitzes carried on. We had two this week, Camogie on Wed in Ballinakill and we hosted 12 teams in Bray on Sat for Football. The weather couldn’t have been more different, cold & windy in Ballinakill and a scorcher in Bray. We finished the week with 4 wins
