Dublin taxi accident victim named

The man who died in an accident in the early hours of Friday morning has been named locally as Mark Gerety.

Mr Gerety originally from Wicklow town was a passenger in a taxi which was in a collision with a car at Summerhill Parade, Co.Dublin.

It is understood he was on his way home from work at the time of the accident.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Funeral arrangements

Mark will be reposing at McCrea’s Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Wicklow Town on Friday evening with a gathering of family and friends from 5.00pm to 8.00pm with removal on Saturday morning at 9.15am to Wicklow Parish Church, Church Hill, Wicklow Town arriving for 10.00am Funeral Service followed by Cremation Service at 12.30pm in Mount Jerome Crematorium, Harolds Cross, Dublin.

Family flowers only please, donations, if desired, to Wicklow Hospice, Collection Box at the Church. Enquiries to McCrea’s Funeral Home,Wicklow Town, 0404 – 69000.

The family would like to invite everybody to Wicklow Rugby Club for refreshments after Cremation Service at 4.00pm on Saturday.
