Gardai arrest man in Wexford town as part of investigation into London Terror attacks

Gardai have arrested a second man in connection with the London Bridge terror attacks on Saturday night.

A man in his 30’s was arrested in Wexford town shortly after 5 pm this evening and taken to Wexford Garda station, where he is being questioned by special investigators.

He was arrested as Gardai continue to investigate the background of London Bridge attacker Rahid Redouane.

It is believed that he had documents in his possession that linked him with Redouane, who was one of the three attackers killed by Police in the aftermath of the attacks.

It emerged in the aftermath of the attacks on Saturday night that Redouane had an Irish -issued ID card on him at the time of death and had briefly lived in Ireland.
