It is with regret that Carnew First Responders are currently no longer in a position to provide 24 hour cover to the community and as result at different times during the week we will not be in a position to respond. At present we only have 5 active responders trying to cover around the clock which is becoming more and more difficult with such few numbers and as a result some calls are unfortunately not being responded to. In order to resolve this issue we need people to volunteer, be willing to attend regular training and go on call for as much as you can in any given week whether it’s for 2 hours or 20 hours every little helps. Please contact 0872413293 if you are interested in becoming a responder. Should you need a responder please dial 999 and ask for the ambulance service.
Many thanks to all who turn out for the book launch for Paddy Behan, Shillelagh on Thursday night in the Golf club, all the books were sold on the night, but more have been ordered and will be ready in about two weeks, if you are interested in purchasing one, then please contact any of the family or Paddy on 0539429213.
