Hollywood Sports Day

Hollywood’s 48th Annual Sports day will take place on Sunday 9th July. Athletics Events: Commencing with Hurling /Football Matches at 12 noon.
All other events will commence at 2.pm. such as Dog Show, Wheel Of Fortune, Many Side Shows, Home Produce, White Elephant Stall, Raffle. Refreshments will be available throughout the day. All Volunteers please be at their work Station latest 1.30pm. Thank you. Raffle Cards sold or unsold must be returned on or before 9th. (Parents check School Bags). Raffle cards will be on sale on the day as well. A great afternoons entertainment is assured. Right of Admission reserved.

 

Hollywood Fair

The Hollywood Fair dates are17th to 20th August. Launch of 2017 Hollywood Fair prior to Pre 50 s Fashion Show on Saturday 22nd July at 7.30pm The Programme of events for our forthcoming Fair will be available at The Fashion Show. There are 4 Themes within the Show. Vintage….Day at The Races ….Evening Wear……Oriental, Special Children’s Theme. Local Entertainment during Interval will be provided on the night by the No Name Club and the Laura Greaves School of Music. Refreshments served. This is a night not to be missed. More details nearer the date.. Work nights in preparation for The Fair have commenced, all help needed, many hands make light work.  Always good fun and finished off with a cuppa and goodies, and of course a decade of The Rosary.

Friendship Club

Are on holidays from now until second Wednesday September 13th. To all our loyal members of The Friendship Club enjoy your holidays and we will see you all on Wednesday 12th July for our Summer Outing.  Invitations have been sent out and it‘s hoped all who are “of age” have received same. All details are on your Invitation.  Bus leaving Car Park at 11.45. Light lunch in Lynhams of Laragh then we visit Kilmacurragh Gardens, Then to Redcross Brewery for a taste  of “what they do best “.  Back to Hollywood Inn for evening meal. ( 7pm) approx. If you are unable to attend please contact Marie/Martina numbers are on your Invitations. Important to reply as we need to know numbers for the Bus and Booking Food. Thank You.

Pranic Healing

Now available in the Hollywood Centre. Pranic Healing is a non- touch energy healing treatment. Feeling stressed and need to relax or need pain relief from aches and pains. Acorn’s Pre School Hollywood

Every morning from 9.00 until 12.00 full and part time places are available. Contact Sonia and Jane on 087 4528855 to secure your place.

 

Hollywood Bowls

The Club are taking a break and will resume on Tuesday 22nd August at 8.00pm

 

Adult Badminton

Are taking a break for the Summer and will be back in September.

Dunlavin Scout Group

We are currently recruiting new committed leaders for our troop from all local townlands. We are a volunteer based organisation, working with children. Full training is provided. If you think you would be interested in volunteering, please call 0862632859 for more information.

 

Hollywood GAA

Hollywood Annual Sports and Field Day will be held on Sunday 9th July at Hollywood GAA Field. Football and Hurling Match at 12 noon. Athletic Events and Side Shows Commence at 2pm. Admission Adults €2. Children FREE. Athletic Events from Tiny Tots to Veterans. Teas and Refreshments available on the Field, White Elephant Stall, Home Produce Stall, Side Shows. Wheel of Fortune – Mouse – Gold Fish -Clock Golf – Shuttle Board – Fish Hook a Duck – Feed The Clowns – Aunt Sally – Milk Miss Daisy – Art Exhibition – Face Painting. Dog Show with 5 Categories and also The Dog Of The Show (all Dogs must be on a leash). Come along and have some fun.

Hollywood GAA Club Gear is now available to buy at Kaideen Knitwear Baltinglass.

Neighbourhood Alertness Important Notice

Please be careful as to whom you allow into your home as there are Conmen and Women calling to houses in the locality. Be alert at all  times, if in doubt contact the Guards in Blessington 045 865202. Also it is important to look out for each other in our Neighbour Hoods and be vigilant at all times. Check in on your elderly neighbours. Report to the Guards if you suspect anything suspicious. 045/865202 or 999..

Hollywood Bingo

Bingo takes place in the Hollywood Centre every Thursday night at 8.30pm.

We have two jackpots – €3,000 and €6,850 to play for each week.

 

Doctor ‘s Clinic

Important: Please Note from July onwards The Doctor’s Clinic  will be on the first and third Thursday of each month from 9.30 -11.30am
