Sincere sympathy is extended to the family and relatives of Johnny Higgins, Camolin who died during the week and was buried on Friday in Camolin.

COFFEE DAY

Ailish Walsh, Donishal is holding a coffee day in aid of the Hospice on Thursday 14th September at her house in Donishal from 10am – 9pm, all welcome to come along.

BINGO

The next bingo is on Sunday 24th September at 2.30pm in St Brigid’s Hall, Carnew, all welcome.

CARNEW DAY CENTRE

The Social afternoon re-commences on Wednesday from 2pm – 4.30pm with bingo, delicious afternoon tea and activities. Monday night id indoor bowls, Tuesdaynights is whist, enquiries to 0539426510.

WALKING CLUB

Carnew walking club meets every Thursday night at 7.30pm at Carnew Training and Development Centre, everyone welcome to come along and walk at your own pace.

NOTES

The deadline for the Carnew notes has changed and must be in for the Friday, anyone wishing to include notes must have them with me before Thursday night, thank you.

GAA LOTTO

The GAA lotto was not won, numbers were 4,12,18,30, the next draw is 11th September and the jackpot is €7,800, lucky dips were Sharon and David c/o Hatchet. Aisling Balfe. Olive Jones c/o John Cosgrave. Bernadette Doran, c/o Candys. Thanks to everyone for their support.

SCOIL AODAN NAOFA

Split the Pot draw re-commenced on Friday 8th September in Scoil Aodan Naofa, Carnew. Many thanks for all your support. It has been greatly appreciated as it has allowed us to purchase many necessary resources for our school. Envelopes are available in local businesses and school office. Best of luck to all in the draws.

TINAHELY WALKING CLUB

On Sunday September 17, the walk will be at Haddens Hill (Grade B, 10km, 3 hours) meeting in Tinahely at 10.00. On Sunday September 24, the walk will be at Blackstairs Mountain (Grade B+, 12km, 4.5 hours) meeting in Bunclody at 10.00. Please ensure to wear proper walking boots, to bring adequate food & drink and to pack (or wear) rain gear.

LADIES CRAFT CLASS

The ladies craft class will start on Wednesday 20th September from 7-9 pm on the Main Street, Carnew, if you are interested in joining or would like more information contact Eileen on 0862584616.

KNOCK PILGRIMAGE

A bus will be going to knock on Saturday 23rd September for an over night stay chapel at 7.30am, Gorey 8am, if you are interested in travelling please contact Marie 0n 0539426646 or 0872323966.
