Jane Moules receives her Hidden Hearing Award from TV3’s Alan Hughes

Congratulations to Jane Moules from Aughrim, how won an award in the Deaf/Hard of Hearing category at the Hidden Hearing Hero national awards presentation in Dublin on Monday.

Jane, who is deaf in one ear, is a widow with a 22-year-old daughter and disabled twins, aged 18, who consistently puts her young family ahead of her own needs.

The Annual Hidden Hearing Hero awards is open to young and old people from all walks of life and they have been run since 2011.

Nominations are made by members of the public for their hero in a number of categories.

The awards scheme is supported by Hidden Hearing, but nominees are not necessarily deaf or hard of hearing.

The 2017 awards ceremony was held in the Intercontinental Hotel in Dublin on 11 September.
