LITTLE ACORNS PLAYSCHOOL REGISTRATION NIGHT

Little Acorns playschool and after school registration night will take place on Wednesday 31st January at 7.30pm in the playschool, limited places available.

SPLIT THE POT

The winner of Scoil Aodan Naofa Carnew Split the Pot of 19th January was Mary Walsh winning €232, tickets available from the school or local shops.

GET WELL

Get well wishes go to Willie Kinsella, Gorey Road.

SYMPATHY

Sincere sympathy is extended to the family and relatives of Maureen Brennan, Nee Hickey, Fern Lodge who died during the week, her remains were removed to Carnew on Wednesday for 2pm mass, followed by burial in Tomacork cemetery.

To the family and relatives of Damien Doyle, Millbank, Shillelagh who died during the week and was buried on Wednesday in Shillelagh.

TINAHELY WALKING CLUB

On Sunday February 4 the walk is at Annagh Hill. Grade B, 9k, 3 hours, meeting at Tinahely 10.00 or The Gap at 10.15. On Feb 11 the walk is at Lowbawn-Little Sugarloaf. Grade B, 14km, 3.5 hours. Meeting in Tinahely at 10.00. Please ensure to wear proper walking boots, to bring adequate food & drink and to pack (or wear) rain gear.

Community Games:
Best of luck to the u14, 12 and two u10 draught teams who will compete in the county championship this weekend in Bree under the guidance of James Tomkins. Training for badminton is underway and soccer training will be starting shortly. More details to follow.
Carnew‘s 9th annual model exhibition
Carnew‘s 9th annual model exhibition will take place on Sunday 4th Februaryin Colaiste Bhride, Carnew from 11am – 5pm with all the usual stalls of model farms, planes, trucks, farm Diorama’s, cars, trains, lego, teas, cakes and tombolla and many more. This year will be the first year of the All Ireland Miniature Steam Engine Rally. Admission is adults €5 children free, contact Richie 0876641878 or Trevor 0872702380. Proceeds this year will go towards the school and  the Back Alley Project, all support is greatly appreciated.

LL SAINTS NATIONAL SCHOOL OPEN DAY

TABLE QUIZ

Carnew and District Agricultural Show Society  are holding a table quiz on Friday 2nd February at 8.30pm in Kenny’s Corner House, Carnew, €40 per table of four. Your support would be appreciated.

BINGO

The next bingo is on 11th and 25th February at 2.30pm in St Bridget’s Hall, Carnew, all welcome.

 

Winner of “Split the Pot” for this week was Therese Finan c/o Ballyellis National School  amount 181euro.

Envelopes can be obtained from the School or any Parent and from Ashling Walsh after weekend Masses in Askamore Church.. Draws will take place every Friday morning in Ballyellis School. This is a new and exciting venture for Ballyellis School and best of luck to everyone.
