Wrap up warm tonight and beware of icy conditions if you are driving

Temperatures are set to drop later tonight, upland areas could see lows of -3.

Severe overnight frost will lead to icy road networks on Sunday morning and again Monday morning.

A risk of coastal showers bringing light mixed wintry showers tomorrow to hills and mountains in Ulster and Leinster.

Yesterday Wicklow Weather issued a climber/hiker advisory for the weekend.

Please keep pets indoors during the next couple of evenings or provide dry shelter with fresh drinking water.

Dry and clear tonight. Very cold in western parts of the province with lowest air temperatures of -1 to -3 degrees with a widespread sharp to severe ground frost. Temperatures staying slightly above zero further east and between 3 to 5 along the coast due to an onshore northeasterly wind.

Tomorrow

A cold, dry day with sunny spells. Highest temperatures 3 to 6 degrees with. Light to moderate easterly winds.
