Aughrim Athletics Club:

Our annual AGM will be held in Aughrim Sports Complex on Thursday 8th February at 8.30. We look forward to welcoming all our members and friends from the Aughrim & Annacurra communities.

The Athletics Club runs hand-in-hand with Community Games, with training taking place Mon nights @ 7 at the Aughrim Sport Complex. Club members can participate in numerous cross-country and track and field events throughout the county.

Registrations now being taken

45  Card Game

45 card game will be on Friday night next  February 9  starting at 8-30 pm, in the Saltee.

 

Whist Drive

There will be a whist drive in Tinahely Parochial  Hall on Thursday   February 8 starting at 8-30.

 

Table Quiz

Saturday 17 February in The Saltee Pub.  Starting time 8-30.   €10 euro per person / 4 per table.  Proceeds for upkeep of Annacurra Parish Church and cemetery.

 

Coffee Morning.

A coffee morning will take place on Friday 16th February in The Courthouse Arts Centre, Tinahely 10a.m – 1p.m. All proceeds from this fundraiser will help support the great work of Sr. Ursula Henchion and the Missionary Sisters of the Assumption in Port Alfred, South Africa. All this work is done within the spirit and framework of the local Society of St Vincent de Paul Conference, St.James, Port Alfred.

Besides assisting individual families in need and who fall upon hard times, the programmes provide regular relief for many in the community. Your generous donations will enable them to continue with a number of their activities, including the distribution of food parcels, the provision of school uniforms,  daily meals for the children at the Siyazama Educate Centre and  assistance to families in distress.   Thanks to the generosity of supporters winter blankets were distributed last winter – yes, it gets very cold during their relatively short winter.

With the support and encouragement of their partners, overseas benefactors and friends from near and far, the charity is looking forward to being able to continue with these programmes during 2018.

Your generosity makes a difference to people’s lives.  Thank YOU.

Our sympathy to the Byrne and Doyle families on the passing of brother and sister Liam and Mary. Also to the Caulfield family on the passing of Joe. May they rest in peace.

Senior and junior training is in full flow now and the seniors are starting their league campaign on 18th of Feb. All support will be appreciated

Results for  January 29 . No Jackpot winner. Numbers drawn  2-3-6-19.  Match 3 winner, Emma, Emma Murphy c/o David Murphy, Ballycooge.  Next  weeks jackpot €2050.00 euro.  Draw held in Saltee on Monday nights.
