A three-year-old girl who was injured following an incident at her home in Dublin last Saturday has died.
The child was rushed to the intensive care unit of Our Lady’s Hospital in Crumlin following an alleged assault at her home on the afternoon of the 10th of February.
Emergency services were called to a house in Shankill at about 4.15pm on the 10th of February.
The girl was rushed to hospital in critical condition but was pronounced dead last night after life support was withdrawn.
A woman in her 40s was arrested at the scene and charged in relation to an assault at the house on the same day.
She appeared before a special sitting of Bray District Court on Sunday night at 8pm.
She was remanded in custody and will appear again before court tomorrow.
