St Patrick’s Day Parade

St. Patrick’s GAA Club took part in the Annual St Patrick’s Day Parade which started at 1pm. Thank you to club member Frank Naughton who chauffeured our own Grand Marshall Louis Carroll. Thank you to all the underage mentors for assisting on the day. Thank you to the Lawlor family for assembling the goodie bags. To all the kids that took part in the parade – Thank you. You all were fantastic and excellent club ambassadors!

Congratulations to the U17 footballers who travelled to Annacurra on Friday night for their first game of the league against the local side Derry Gaels. In an entertaining game of football both sides played good football to go in at half time with a scoreline of Derry Gaels 1-02 St Pats 3-08. On a chilly evening with heavy underfoot conditions both teams played end to end football with the final score line of Derry Gaels 3-3 St Pats 5-15.

St. Patrick’s Senior footballers made an early morning trip to Baltinglass on St. Patricks Day for a 11am throw-in. With the half time score St Pat’s 0-06 Baltinglass 0-03 In the second half Baltinglass got the goal that was the difference in the end with the final score: Baltinglass 1-07 St Pats 0-08.

Congratulations to our own Alan Smullen who has been appointed to the important role of Wicklow County Board Treasurer. Alan fills the position which was vacated by our own Colm Finnegan at last year’s county convention. Best of luck to both Club men in their new roles.

Rory’s Stories for the first time in Wicklow Presented by St Patrick’s GAA Wicklow organised by the Ladies Committee in The Grand Hotel, Wicklow on Friday 27th April at 8:00pm

Tickets €20 available from Whistlers, Fitzpatrick’s pub, Dooley Poynton Auctioneers or any ladies committee member. We will have tickets on sale next Tuesday 13th March and Friday 16th March from 7:30-8:45 in clubhouse hall. Do not delay in getting your ticket!

Subject to a pitch inspection our “Little Warriors” will continue on Saturday 24th March at 10am for Boys and Girls age 4-6. Fun games, getting to meet new friends and learning new skills, are what our nursery is all about. we look forward to welcoming those back from last year and meeting our new recruits!

Kellogg’s GAA Cul Camp details out this week.

Coach Application form for the 2018 Cúl Camps now available. The closing date for applications is Friday May 4th. Applicants must be over 18 before the Camps begin on July 2nd.
