St. Patrick’s club notes week March 26th

Congratulations to the County Senior Ladies on two excellent results last week. Full time in Carlow on Wednesday evening Wicklow 4-7 Carlow 2-7. However the final score only tells half the tale. With 6 minutes left Carlow led by 4 points 2-7 to 1-6. Wicklow scored 3-01 to turn the game on its head to run out 4-7 to 2-7 winners.

On Sunday Wicklow welcomed the all-Ireland junior champions Fermanagh to Roundwood Half time score Fermanagh 1-05 to Wicklow 0-06 Wicklow turned it around in the second half with the Final score in Roundwood – Wicklow 2-12 to Fermanagh’s 1-08. Wicklow remain unbeaten in Lidl NFL Div 4. Well done to our own Clodagh Fox, Saoirse O’Reilly, Rose Fagan, Niamh McGettigan and Mick Kavanagh on an excellent week of football

Another bad day at the office for the Wicklow Senior men who travelled to Carrick on Shannon Leitrim with the final score of Leitrim 2-15 Wicklow 0-10. If the stats are right Wicklow have not scored a goal in this league campaign to date. Next up will be Limerick.  Hard luck to all especially our own John Crowe and Conor French.
