|Miceál Burke of Bray, Co. Wicklow and Carrigtwohill, Co. Cork, died on 1st August, 2018, having borne his illness with dignity and courage, in the presence of his family and in the dedicated care of the staff at St. Vincent’s Private Hospital, Dublin. Much loved son of the late Kaye and Pat, dearly loved brother of Éamonn, Róisín, Bríain, Colm and Nuala. Sadly missed by his loving family, brother-in-law Thierry, sisters-in-law Marjorie, Grace and Charlotte, nieces, nephews Rory, Dylan, Sebastien, Julia, Alex, Adam, Yann, Chenoa, Cathal, Doireann, Oceane, Aoibhín, Daragh, god-mother Teresa, god-daughter Linda, relatives, neighbours and his many close friends and his many colleagues from CASA Bray, IBWF & Esso.
Reposing at Colliers Funeral Home, Old Connaught Avenue, Bray on Thursday (2nd August) and Friday (3rd August) from 9.00am to 5.00pm and then on Saturday (4th August) with family in attendance from 12.00noon to 2.00pm followed by removal to the Victorian Chapel, Mount Jerome, Harolds Cross, Dublin 6W where a Celebration of Miceál’s life will take place at 3.00pm. His ashes will be interred in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Carrigtwohill, Co. Cork on Saturday (11th August) at 11:30 am. No flowers please. Donations, in memory of Miceál, to Purple House Cancer Support.
