A plan to allow more DART services on the single track to Greystones has been put forward by Cllr Derek Mitchell to The National Transport Authority.
The NTA have expressed interest in the plan and are currently in talks with Jacobs Engineering regarding its feasibility.
‘I met the Investment Director of the NTA and pointed out to him, on the DART, how I think it can be done.’ said Cllr Mitchell.
‘I await the study results with interest as the NTA seem prepared to invest money if it is feasible.’
A new DART timetable to come into effect on the 9th of September will provide a DART to Bray every ten minutes, however, DARTs to Greystones will remain every 30 minutes due to the single track.
