CINDERELLA

Roundwood Variety Group present their pantomime Cinderella in The Brockagh Resource Centre this weekend on Friday 1st, Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd February with 8pm shows on Friday & Saturday & 3pm shows on Saturday and Sunday afternoon.  All tickets are €15 plus booking fee.

Please note that show times were incorrect on ticket sales website but it has been rectified. Limited tickets will be available on door.

ROUNDWOOD CANCER SUPPORT

The Roundwood Cancer Support centre is now up and running and is open in the Parish Centre on Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10a.m until 1pm. Please feel free to pop in for a chat we will be happy to help. If anyone needs to make any enquiries outside these hours please telephone our confidential phone number 087 6062072

TIDY TOWNS

A meeting for those involved in adopt a spot areas and tidy towns will take place in the Parish Hall (upstairs) on Monday 4th of Feb at 7.30pm. Anyone interested in getting involved in improving the Christmas lights in village for Christmas 2019 and a community art mural project is most welcome.

GARDA YOUTH AWARDS

Application forms are out now for nominations for The Wicklow Garda Youth Awards 2018. Check out the Facebook page ‘Wicklow Garda Youth Awards’ for the application form  and send the completed nomination form back to [email protected]. If you require a printed form posted to you send an email to [email protected] or contact your local Garda Station.

 

PERSONAL ALARMS

The Roundwood and District Community Council are registered to administer the senior alert scheme which provides grants to elderly people towards the provision of personal alarms. The personal alarm offers reassurance to allow independent living, safe in the knowledge that you can quickly be in contact with a family member or neighbour in the event of an emergency. It provides security and peace of mind. If you would like more information, please call 086 8055040.

WHIST

Next whist is on Wednesday 30th January in The Parish Centre.

TRIPS

There will be a five day trip to Slovenia on the 4th April to the 9th April at a cost of €699 per person sharing. As there are limited places a deposit of €200 is required asap. There will be a tour of Scotland in August/September  dates to be decided & a Westport country music break in October 2019 which includes some day trips. LOTTO RESULTS

There was no jackpot winner in last weeks draw The numbers drawn were:-1, 16, 19 & 26. There was one match three winner, Carmel Hawkins Next weeks jackpot will be €25,000.

 DIAMOND BRIDGE

Despite bidding and making a Grand Slam and not one but two Small Slams (Congratulations) Ger Lenihan and Margaret Bolger had to settle for second place for North/ South on Monday 21st November, Maria Magee and Judy Skates took 1st place whilst Monica Brady and Bridie Nolan were 3rd.  1st for East/West on the night were Teresa Leahy and Marion Davis, whilst Margaret Byrne, Brid Clancy, Maura Gaskin and Kay Plunkett shared 2nd/3rd.

002 BRIDGE CLUB

Maria Magee secured 1st Place once again for North/South this morning with partner Liz Belton, 2nd Monica Brady and June Digby,  and 3rd place went to Molly Byrne and Rachel Judd.    Ger Lenihan  and Paddy O Brien took 1st place once again for East/West Margaret Bolger and Noeleen Redmond were 2nd and Teresa Leahy and Marion Davis were 3rd

SECONDARY SCHOOL BADMINTON

Badminton for Secondary school children continues every Mon from 6 30pm to 7.30pm.. We have a small supply of racquets available. Come along and bring your friends.  Beginners particularly welcome

SET DANCING

Set dancing in Kavanagh’s every Thursday night from 9 until 11pm

BADMINTON

Morning badminton has resumed on Tuesday morning from 9.30pm.  All are welcome.

ROUNDWOOD WHIZZERS

Roundwood Whizzers Walking Group are back in action meeting at 7pm every Wednesday at the Coach House car park.  All welcome to walk at your own pace for approximately one hour.

ANGEL HEALING

Angel Healing and Angelic Guidance is back tomorrow evening Monday the 3rd of September in the Parish Hall Roundwood at 7.30 sharp. So if you would enjoy an evening of peace relaxation and hands on energy healing join us for a wonderful new experience.

A 45 Card Game takes place every Tuesday night in Moneystown Community Centre starting at a new time of 8. pm for the winter months beginning on the 30th October  Teas served. All are welcome
