Lizzie Kennedy, Main Street, Carnew would like to say a sincere  thank you to everyone for their good wishes, cards, gifts and mass bouquets during her recent stay in hospital, it is very much appreciated.

 

SYMPATHY

Sincere sympathy is extended to the family and relatives of Shelia McDonald, nee French, Kilpipe, Aughrim who died during the week and was buried on Wednesday in Annacurra cemetery.

 

COMMUNION

God bless all the children from Ballyroebuck school who made their First Holy Communion on Sunday.

 

SPLIT THE POT

The lucky winner of €174 in Scoil Aodan Naofa, Carnew  Split the Pot draw was Joanne Edwards . Congratulations. The sellers prize was won by Tristan Massey who won a €10 voucher for Victors and the lucky dip winner was Lauren Myers.

The following are the walks for Tinahely walking club
June 2: Djouce. Level B, 12km, 3.5 hrs. Meet Tinahely 9.30am or Coach House, Roundwood 10.30am.June 9:  Lugnaquilla. Level A, 18km, 6hrs. Meet Glenmalure Hotel car park 9.45am.

As usual, please remember to wear proper walking boots, pack full rain gear and bring adequate food & drink.

GOLF CLASSIC 
Colaiste Bhride Carnew are holding their annual golf classic on 14th June in Coollattin golf club, special prizes for teams, €200 per team by booking online Coollattingolfclub.com or 0874168831.
ROAD RUN 
Carnew heritage club are holding their car, tractor and lorry road run on Sunday 2nd June with registration from 4pm, run starting at 5pm followed by BBQ, full bar and entertainment into the night, secure overnight parking available, all proceeds towards The Heartbeat Trust and CRY Cardaic Risk in the Young, for more information contact 0876732437.

The next bingo is on Sunday 2nd June at 2.30pm in St Bridget’s Hall, Carnew, all welcome.
PATRON
The annual patron in Askamore is on Sunday 2nd June at 1pm , please bring home all your rubbish and don’t leave in the graveyard, thank you.

Ballyellis National School “Split the Pot”

Friday 24th  May,  2019   winner of  “Split the Pot” is Ben, Clodagh and Cara Walsh, Donishall    –  winning €130.   We thank everyone for supporting “Split the Pot”. Envelopes can be obtained from the School or any Parent and from Ashling Walsh after weekend Mass in Askamore Church.. Draws will take place every Friday morning in Ballyellis School.
