Ballyellis National School “Split the Pot”

Friday 21st  June  2019   winner of  “Split the Pot” is – Mary & Amber Walsh,  Donishall,  winning €133.  We thank everyone for supporting “Split the Pot”. Envelopes can be obtained from the School or any Parent and from Ashling Walsh after weekend Mass in Askamore Church.. Draws will take place every Friday morningin Ballyellis School.

 SPLIT THE POT 

The lucky winner of €170 in our Split the Pot draw of Scoil Aodan Naofa Carnew was Lauren Myers . Congratulations. The sellers prize was won by James Gregan  who won a €10 voucher for Victors and the lucky dip winner was Ellie-Mae Fortune.

SYMPATHY 
Sincere sympathy is extended to the family and relatives of Sean Byrne, America and formerly of Bolinrush who died recently and was buried on Monday in Kilrush cemetery.
SUMMER CAMPS 

Come join our Two Exciting Summer Camps not to be missed.  Venue: Carnew National School, Date: 29th July- 2 August 19, Age group: 4-12, Time: 9.30-12 (Art Camp) 12-1 (Activity Camp).  Art in the morning (Tile Painting, Clay Houses, Drawing, puppets and much more) Activity camp in the afternoon (Introduction to Tae-Kwon-Do, circuit training & lots more).  Join us for the Art Camp or Activity camp only or both.  Over 17yrs experience delivering Art Camps to the community & over 25years Tae-Kwon-Do experience.  Booking is essential Contact: Trish Murphy (087)6390370.

 

TINAHELY WALKING CLUB 

The following are the walks for the next two weeks for Tinahely Walking Club. 

June 30: Annacurragh (Litter Pick walk with Pure Mile). Level B, 10 km, 3 hrs. Meet Tinahely 10 am or Annacurragh Church car park 10.15 am.

July 7: Lough Dan. Level A, 16 km, 5 hrs. Meet Tinahely 9.45 am or Laragh 10.30 am.

As usual, please remember to wear proper walking boots, pack full rain gear and bring adequate food & drink. Please check Tinahely Walking Club Facebook page for any changes to the scheduled walks.

 

BINGO 

The last bingo for the summer is on Sunday 30th June at 2.30pm in St Bridget’s Hall, all welcome and a sincere thank you for your support to date.

Carnew and District Agricultural show will be held on Saturday 20th July in Umrigar by kind permission of the Kinsella and Stephens families.
Bi weda animal health are new sponsors of the All Ireland cheviot sheep championship for a pair of cheviot ewe lambs judged as a pair.
Full program of classes for horses, ponies, sheep, poultry, dog show, baking, arts, crafts and flowers. Classes for children of all ages to compete. For more information call 0871429325 or email [email protected]
SYMPATHY 

Sincere sympathy is extended to the family and relatives of Din Doran, Croneyhorn who died during the week, his remains were removed to Carnew on Thursday for 3pm mass, followed by burial in Tomacork Cemetery.
To Caroline Kennedy, Kilcavan her family and relatives on the death of her mother Mary Moules, Aughrim who died during the week.
To the family and relatives of Bridie Daley, Kildare formerly Smith, Foxcover who died during the week.

CAMOGIE 
Congratulations to the Carnew u14’s camogie club who won the Regional Feile in Ederney, Fermanagh last weekend, we’ll done to all involved.
