Enniscorthy by-pass opens today

The Enniscorthy by-pass will open this afternoon.

The new section of the M11 which is 27 kilometres long will stretch from Clogh just south of Gorey to south Enniscorthy.

The motorway which cost nearly €350 million was completed in under four years.

Along with the town of Enniscorthy, Ferns and Camolin will also be bypassed, however traffic will still have to pass through the village of Oylegate.

The road will be opened by An Taoiseach Leo Varadker who will be joined by local representatives.
