Avoca Camogie

The Avoca Camogie Club are holding a presentation night on November 16 in the Meetings to celebrate their most successful year for a long time.

They won the intermediate league and championship this year and so have brought Senior Camogie back to the village for the first time since 1995.

On the night the girls will be presented with their league and championship medals and they will also be picking their player of the year, clubperson of the year etc. Finger food will be served and music will be provided by Jason Stubbs.

The girls would like as many supporters as possible to come and join them in what will be a good night of music and craic. Tickets are €10 each and are available from any club member, so see you all in the Meetings on Saturday 16 November. C/Mon Avoca.

Avoca Recycling

The Avoca Camogie Club would like to thank Mylie Doyle from the recycling centre for his kind donation of €150 which he presented to the Club recently.

Mylie raised this money from recyling ink cartridges and he has kindly decided to continue this collection for the Camogie Club, so anyone with ink cartridges or toner cartridges please bring them along to the Recycling Centre where you will be helping the Camogie Club to raise much needed funds.

Mylie also recently collected mobile phones for the Club for which the girls are very grateful. Since the Club will be playing at senior level next year there will be some new gear required. To this end Mylie and the Recyling Centre have a couple of fundraisers in mind for later this year and into the new year. We will give more information on these nearer to their starting time.

In the meantime the Club would like to thank Mylie and Staff for their continued support.
