AGB juvenile girls have just completed their Mini All Ireland finals in Pearse Park on Saturday morning last with a wonderful exhibition of football.
The morning started off with three junior finals been played, with great excitement right to the final whistles, with Wicklow, Kerry and Galway teams coming out on top in the end.
Up next came the intermediate finals with both finals living up to the high standard of football that was played throughout the tournament.
Both games went down to the wire with Dublin pipping Cavan by a single point in the shield final, and the cup final between Armagh and Cork having to go to extra time with Armagh ahead at the final whistle.
Medals were presented to all teams with the winning captains been presented with shields and cups for their teams. Then it was party time with refreshments and goodies for everyone.
This competition is run as a fun event for all and as a closure to another successful year for our juvenile girls. The club would like to thank everybody who helped out in many different ways from getting the pitches ready, managing teams, refereeing games and looking after the catering.
Well done to all and especially well done to all our juvenile girls for a wonderful occasion. Our future looks bright.
