Gardai in Aughrim are in investigating a number of break-ins at business premises on the Rednagh road close to the GAA grounds.
In the early hours of Tuesday morning raiders entered Rednagh stores through the roof it is understood the thieves got a small amount of cash but could not force their way into the store which held the cigarettes.
The NDAF park which is adjacent to the shop was also broke into although nothing was stolen the culprits caused thousands of euros worth of damage.
Glanbia in Rathdrum was also broke into in the early hours of Tuesday morning and like the Aughrim incident nothing was believed to be taken but substantial damage was done to the premises.
Gardai in Arklow are investigating the robbery of a pensioner in the town last Thursday night, the mans house was entered by breaking in the door and terrorising him until the thieves got cash.
A number of business premises were robbed over the week-end while there were attempted entries to homes on the Wexford road and the Fernhill area of the town.
Saturday night also saw a number of assaults in the town one man was arrested during a fracas but was later released.
