Car Boot Sale

The next Car Boot Sale, and the last for this year, will take place on Sunday 3 November. Vans must be booked in. Car Boot Sales will resume again in February. Contact the Brockagh Centre on 0404-45600.

Glendalough Trail Run

The Glendalough Trail run (or you can walk or jog) is a 15.5km course which takes place on Saturday 9 November with registration at the Brockagh Centre.

The Glendalough Trail is a fantastic running experience with a route that is scenic, challenging and safe. Not only will it be a fun, enjoyable day but we hope to raise much needed funds for Fighting Blindness.

Active Retirement

The Active Retirement monthly lunch takes place on Tuesday 5 November at 12.45pm in the Wicklow Heather. The group are also planning to go to Ronan Collins and his showband with a 4 course lunch n the Ballsbridge Hotel on (formerly Jury’s) 13th or 14th December. The cost is 47euro (transport will be extra) and must be paid in full before 5th November. Only those that have paid in full before 5th November will be booked in.
St. Kevin’s Parish

Mass of Remembrance. Our annual Mass for those who died during the year will take place at 7 pm on Saturday 9 November. All families and friends of those who passed away are very welcome.
Sewing & Making Workshops

Would you like to learn basic hand or machine-sewing techniques? Are you interested in learning how to make simple clothes, how to follow a pattern or how to make children’s clothing? Or would you like to make soft furnishings such as cushions, seat covers, tablecloths, roman blinds and machine-finished curtains? You would need your own sewing machine. If you have an interest call the Brockagh Centre on 0404-45600.
Happy Days

Halloween Happy Days at the Brockagh Resource Centre this Wednesday morning (30 October) from 10.30am until 12.30pm for carers and toddlers – from babies up to pre-school age. So come along , dress up and enjoy the fun. For further information call the Brockagh Centre on (0404) 45600.

 

Glendalough Country Market & Gift Fair

Our next markets are the Christmas markets which will take place on Sundays 8 and 15 December. Lots of hand-made and unique Christmas gifts to buy; Home baking, Jams & Chutneys, Christmas Puddings & Cakes, Jewellery, Novelty Bird Tables, Hand knits, Fairy Doors, Aloe Vera, Candles, Christmas Wreathes, Glass & Pottery, Plants and much, much more. Gifts from as little as €5. These are always very popular markets which are usually completely booked out very quickly. Please book as soon as possible in order to secure your place. Paediatric First-Aid Courses

The Brockagh Centre is offering two paediatric first-aid courses which will go ahead if enough people sign-up. Irish Heart Foundation certified course in paediatric first-aid from 10 am to 5 pm on a Saturday in November/December at a cost of €50 (paid in advance). Participants must bring their own lunch.

Fetac Level-5 paediatric first-aid course on one evening and two full days for €195 – some people have already signed-up for this but not enough to run a course. Tuesday Night – Dance Night

The Wicklow Man is back to his usual Tuesday night slot in the Brockagh Centre from 9.30 p.m.

 

AA Meetings

Closed AA Meetings are held in the Brockagh Resource Centre in Laragh at 8.30 p.m. every Monday night. If you think that you may have a problem with alcohol please come along.
