Footfalls Walking Festival

The Footfalls annual Walking Festival take place from Friday 25 to Monday 28 October and will again be based in the Brockagh Centre. The weekend offers a night walk, 3 peaks challenge, a selection of day walks from challenging, moderate and easy on Saturday and Sunday, a moderate walk on Monday 28. Badminton Adults

Adults badminton – try it out. Have you wondered about badminton but are not really sure. Come along any Tuesday night at 8 p.m. or Thursday night from 9 p.m. at the Brockagh Centre. Badminton rackets provided, friendly atmosphere.

 

Get Yourself On Line

This new course offers to help those with little experience of the internet. The course provides an easy step-by-step course where you will discover: email attachments, search engines, on-line transactions such as motor tax, podcasts, on-line safety and security, skype, on-line banking, buying on line. We are taking names for a Wednesday afternoon class starting 30 October and a Tuesday evening class starting in November.

This is a free course for those over 65 and cost 10 euro to those under 65 (a contribution towards tea/coffee will be required). Those who have done our previous Get Yourself on Line are not eligible to get funding for this course but can pay a fee of 25 euro if they wish to take part. Car Boot Sale

Xmas Craft Fairs

The next markets at the Brockagh Centre will be our Christmas Fair & Markets which will take place on Sunday 8 and 15 December, The Christmas fairs at the Brockagh Center are always very popular and we had to turn away many last year so ensure you book your place early this year. Happy Days

Happy Days at the Brockagh Resource Centre every Wednesday morning from 10.30am until 12.30pm for carers and toddlers – from babies up to pre-school age. So come along and enjoy the fun with lots of toys to play with and make some new friends along the way. For further information the Brockagh Centre on (0404) 45600.

 

Tuesday Night – Dance Night

The Wicklow Man is back to his usual Tuesday night slot in the Brockagh Centre from 9.30 p.m.

Fly-tying and Fly-casting Courses

Learn the fascinating art of fly-tying and fly-casting at the Brockagh Centre. Tuition from STANIC qualified internationally experienced flyfisher. National River Finalist in UK. Course available in fly-dressing. Casting tuition available from beginners to advanced. Tuition in casting for accuracy and distance (double haul, parachute casting. Gymboree is back in Laragh

Gymboree is back at the Brockagh Centre on Friday mornings from 10-11am. Gymboree is for all children aged 6 months to 4 years. It is an hour of active fun, promoting a love of music through song, dance, movement games and musical instruments. Only €7.50 per class (full term payable on enrolment). SongCraft – Singing Workshops for Adults

Songs to set your spirit soaring. Sing big, sing strong, sing loud and proud. Come and learn a range of uplifting and upbeat songs from across the globe to your heart racing and send your spirit soaring. Circuit Training & Kettle Bells

Get Fit, Lose Weight, Feel Good. Circuit Training is an excellent way to improve mobility, strength and stamina. Using the Kettle Bell as a tool gives you Fat Burning Cardio, Strength Building Core, Muscle Toning Resistance. A great work-out to build your fitness. Work at the level most appropriate to you. AA Meetings

Closed AA Meetings are held in the Brockagh Resource Centre in Laragh at 8.30 p.m. every Monday night. If you think that you may have a problem with alcohol please come along.
