CAMOGIE AGM
Carnew Camogie club are holding their AGM on Friday 29th November at 8pm in Kenny’s Pint Depot , we’ve had a great season so this will be a chance to review that and put in place the team who will head up the club in 2014. Our outgoing officers are chairperson Sabrina Kavanagh, vice chair Mary O’Neill. Secretary Paul Kelly. Assist sec Mary Brennan, Treasurer Yvonne Kelly. Registar Maire Doran PRO Deirdre O’Flynn.

COFFEE MORNING
Jim and Ann Gilbert Askamore are holding a coffee morning on 21st November from 10 – 3 to help bring Denis home from Cherynobl for xmas, all welcome.

MUSICAL SOCIETY

Carnew Musical Society are busy putting the final touches to their production of Annie Get your Gun which begins on Monday 25th to Saturday 30th November at 8 pm nightly in St Bridget’s Hall, Carnew  admission Monday and Tuesday €12 adults, OAP’S and students €8, all other nights €15, booking is from Monday 18th between 11 – 1.00 and 1.30 – 4.30pm no text please on 0876985275.

PRIDE IN CARNEW LOTTO

Pride in Carnew have a weekly lotto running on Wednesday nights at €2 a night from any committee member, last weeks winner was Bennie Keogh, Emmett Place and seller was Mary Hall.

FORGET ME NOT CHRISTMAS TREE

Askamore Childcare Centre are running their Forget Me Not Christmas Tree again this year where you can remember your loved ones whether their abroad, sick, in hospital or any intention over christmas, a mass will take place in December, baubles will be on sale shortly and cost €3 each or two for €5 or check www.askamore.com

NOVEMBER FAIR

The committee and staff of Carnew Community Care would like to say a sincere thank you to everyone who helped, donated ar attended their annual November Fair last Friday, winners of the raffle were €300 Margaret Breen, Shillelagh. €200 Kate McGillicudy, Dublin. €100 Liam Dempsey c/o Nancy Community Village. SET DANCING

Set dancing classes continue on Wednesday nights in Askamore Hall from 8 – 10pm 48 nightly contact Mary 0861633341.

FITNESS BOOTCAMP

Fitness for men and women continues on Wednesday mornings from 10 – 11 am in Le Chelie Park €7 per session more details contact Jim 0868406786 or Declan 0868468165.

CARD DRIVES

The annual card drives contiue in Askamore on Monday nights last week was Ballyellis/Burrow and next Monday is Castlewhite/Drummond. Tickets only €2 from any member

RACE NIGHT

Carnew Show Society are holding a race night on this Friday 22nd November at 9pm in Kenny’s Corner House horses on sale from any member at €10,  come along on the night and cheer on the horses and have a good nights entertainment.

TINAHELY WALKING CLUB

The walk on Sunday 24th November is Haddens Hill (b walk) meet Tinahely Square at 10.30am please make sure and bring adquate food and drink and wear proper walking boots and bring or wear raingear, all walks are on tinahley.ie website.

FUN 5KM WALK/RUN
A fun 5km walk/run will be held on Sunday 1st December at 2pm starting at the sportsfield Carnew, all welcome to come along, your support would be greatly apprecaited. All proceeds towards Talk to Tom foundation.
PLAYERS MEETING
Carnew ladies football club are holding a players meeting in Kennys Lounge Carnew on 8th December at 5pm, new players welcome.

 

MINOR HURLING

Hard luck to our minor hurlers who were beaten in their final repaly on Sunday last in Arklow against Bray, this was a very tough match with both sides level at full time and extra time was palyed with Bray coming out on top by two points, full score Bray 3-13, Carnew 2-14 with scores from Padraig Doran, Wayne Kinsella, Enda Donohue, Andrew Hughes and Paul Murphy. Hard luck lads and well done on a great game.
