Dunlavin Notebook – November 25

Thanks

The Dunlavin Playground Committee held their Strictly Come Dancing Competition in St Laurence’s Community Complex on Saturday night last. It was an excellent night with over 550 in  attendance. The compere on the night was Bridget Joyce who kept everyone amused with her witty and often daring commentary. The Complex looked every bit the part with a specially erected stage and special lighting effects. This was a great community night for Dunlavin with dancers of all ages and from many different groups. They all brought their own supporters who had a fantastic night. The night finished with everyone getting a chance to dance on the stage accompanied by Two Guys Live. Declan Healy who is one half of two guys live was also the very deserving  outright winner with Vivienne of the Strictly come dancing competition. Obviously a man of many talents!Congratulations to the Dunlavin Playground Committee on such a well organized event. There was a lot of work in preparing for this night and it paid off!
