Sponsored Walk

There will be a sponsored walk up Sorrel Hill Lacken in aid of the Irish Cancer Society on the 9th of November 2013. Leaving from the top of Carrig Lane at 11 o’clock ( carpool at Lacken Church at 10.30).

Bingo takes place in the Hollywood Centre every Thursday night at 8.30pm. We have two jackpots – €3,000 and €3,000 to play for each week.

Adult Badminton

The final date for Adult Badminton registration is on Wednesday 6th November. No registrations can be accepted after this date. Only registered members will be insured to play. If you cannot register on the 6th, please make prior arrangements to register with Deirdre or Anne before this date. The fee is €28 per person. Please spread the word.


Hollywood Fair

A General Meeting of the Hollywood Fair will be held on Saturday 30th November at 8.30pm in the Hollywood Centre to review the Fair of 2013. We look forward to seeing you on the night.


Parent & Toddler Group

The Parent & Toddler Group would like to thank all who supported the recent Church gate collection which raised €280 and coffee morning which raised €371. All money raised will go towards the start-up costs for the Group which will commence on Thursday 7th November in the Hollywood Centre from 10 am – 12 noon.


Photographic Exhibition

ICA Photographic Exhibition Sunday 10th November from 12 noon – 5pm in the Community Centre.

Refreshments provided. Admission free. All welcome. Presentation to Hollywood School Building Fund from ICA.
Tidy Towns

The Tidy Towns AGM will take place in the Hollywood Centre on Tuesday 12th November at 8pm. All are welcome.

The Committee would like to thank everyone for their support at the recent cake sale. Winners of the raffle were: Robbie Mc Cabe, Teresa Mc Gonagle, O’ Keeffe Family, Ciaran Clarke, Harry Chamney and Sheila Kelly. Congratulations to all!

In the coming weeks they will be planting more ‘spring flowering bulbs’ and would appreciate any donations of bulbs which can be dropped into the box provided at the back of the Church.


Remembrance Mass

A Remembrance Mass for deceased relatives and friends of all Hollywood people will take place on Tuesday 26th November.



Ballet classes for children every Monday from 3.15 – 6.15pm in the Hollywood Centre.


Friendship Club

The Friendship Club takes place every Wednesday from 2.15 – 4.15pm in the Hollywood Centre. All most welcome for a game of cards, bingo, a chat and a cuppa.

No Name Club

The No Name Club for 15 – 18 year olds takes place every Wednesday in the Hollywood Centre from 8 – 9.30pm. New members very welcome. Due to an increase in members the club is looking for adult leaders to help. Please contact the Hollywood Centre if interested.

Hip Hop

Hip Hop class in the Hollywood Centre from 4 – 6pm every Friday. All welcome.



Karate class every Friday from 6 – 8pm in the Hollywood Centre. All welcome.

Bowls takes place in the Hollywood Centre every Tuesday and Friday from 8 – 10pm. All welcome.
Traditional Music

Classes take place in the Hollywood Centre from 10.30am – 12.30pm every Saturday morning.


Parish Office

The Parish Office is open from 9.30am to 1pm Monday to Friday.
