Tinahely Notebook – November 18

Tinahely Walking Club. 
On Sunday November 17 the walk is Mt Frauchan Rock (A walk), meeting in Tinahely square at 9.30am (or 10.00 at Glenmalure end-of-road bottom car park, not the hotel). On Sunday November 24 the walk is Haddens Hill (B walk), meeting in Tinahely square at 10.30am. Please ensure to wear proper walking boots, to bring adequate food & drink and to pack (or wear) rain gear. Full walking schedule is on the Tinahely.ie website.

Christmas fair
Askanagap Community Development Association are holding a Christmas Fair on Sunday November 24th from 12pm to 3pm in the Community Hall, Askanagap. This will be a great fun day for all the family with Christmas carols, raffles, white elephant stall and wonderful homemade produce.  Refreshments including tea, coffee and homemade soup will be available. Crossbridge Community Sports Hall AGM
The AGM of Crossbridge Community Sports Hall will take place on Friday 22nd of November at 8.00pm in the Hall. All members of the community are invited to attend this important meeting.

Festive December delights
Padraig D’Arcy from Tinahely will stage “Festive December Delights” in Gorey Little Theatre on Thursday December 5th at 8.30pm. Featuring music from Padraig & his band with some very special guest performances from The Penston Vocal Academy Choir, Chris Noonan and Naoimh Penston. Tickets available from Symes Newsagents, Tinahely; Kavanagh’s Newsagent, Wexford Road, Arklow; The Book Café, 86 Main Street Gorey. Tickets priced at €15 each which includes free Mulled Wine & Mince pies. Treat yourself or a family/friend to an early Christmas Present!
