SYMPATHY
Sincere sympathy is extended to the family and relatives of Joanna Cosgrave, Croneyhorn who died last week, her remains were removed to Tomacork on Thursday evening and burial took place on Saturday after 11 am mass.
Sincere sympathy is extended to the family and relatives of Donal Breen, Kilcavan who died recently.

MARRIAGE
Congratulations to Joe Kavanagh, Drummond and Daniel Darcy, who were married last week.

THANK YOU
Carnew show committee would like to say a big thank you to everyone who helped in anyway with their recent race night, all who sold and bought horses, who worked on the night and beforehand, Carnew Training and Development Centre and all who sponsored races, Mick and Liz Kenny for the use of their premises, all who came on the night and had good fun, many thanks.

Bill and Brigid Molloy, Gorey Road would like to say a big thank you to everyone who supported them in their fund raising campaign for cancer research, all who gave donations came to our house for tea/coffee evening, gave spot prizes for raffle and auction etc. Thanks to Eileen Fisher for all her help and auctioneering skills the amount raised was €646. Congratulations to our daughter Sandra who did a 13000 foot sky dive for the same fund raiser.

FORGET ME NOT TREE

Baubles are still on sale for the Forget Me Not Tree in Askamore, mass will be celebrated on Sunday 22nd December at 11 am. Contact www.askamore,com or Askamore Childcare Centre. After mass Santa will visit Le Cheile Park to see all the children and there will be hot chocolate and carols will be sung, all welcome.

CARNEW DAY CENTRE

Carnew GAA lotto was not won numbers were 6,13,19,28 next draw is 23rd December in Jim Byrnes land the jackpot is €2,400, lucky dips were Susanne O’Sullivan c/o Michael O’Sullivan. Aggie and Aoife c/o Timmy Collins. Natika House c/o Chuckie. John Kelly c/o Jimmy Barnes. Tickets only €2 from any player or local shops, many thanks to everyone for their support over the last year and look forward to your continued support for 2014. BENIFIT NIGHT
A benefit night will be held on Saturday 21st December in Kenny’s Lounge Carnew at 9.30pm with music, craic and entertainment and raffle with loads of prizes, tickets only €2 each or book of e €5, all proceeds will go towards 5 year old Aimee O’Neill to buy a wheelchair car.

PENITENTIAL SERVICE
The penitential service in Askamore is Tuesday 17th at 7.30pm and Kilrush Thursday 19th.

CREDIT UNION AGM
Carnew credit union AGM will be held on Tuesday 17th December at 8pm in our offices all welcome to come along.

TINAHELY WALKING CLUB
Tinahely Walking clubs walk on 22nd December is from Crossbridge to the Dying Cow (b/cwalk) meet Tinahely Square at 10.30am.

FLOWER DEMONSTRATION
A flower demonstration will be held on this Wednesday 18th at 7.30pm in Carnew Day Centre admission €7 with refreshments and door prize, all proceeds to Carnew Community Carnew and St. Vincent De Paul.

CAROL SERVICE
There will be carol service in Askamore church on Wednesday 18th December at 7pm performed by the children from Ballyellis National School, refreshments afterwards in the hall all are welcome.
