Merry Christmas

The Brockagh Resource Centre wishes to thank all friends and patrons for their support throughout 2013.  We wish you all a Happy, Holy and Peaceful Christmas. The Brockagh Centre will re-open on Thursday 2nd January. 

St Kevin’s Parish Christmas Services

Tuesday 24 December (Christmas Eve -.  Individual Confessions from 11 am to 12 noon.  Practice for altar servers at 12 noon (new members welcome).  Vigil Mass at 9 p.m. preceded by carol service with St. Kevin’s choir at 8.30 pm.  Wednesday 25 December (Christmas Day) – Mass at 9.30 and 11.30 a.m.  Please note that there will be no further Masses until 7 pm on 28 December.

 St John’s Church Christmas Services

Christmas Eve – Crib Service in Rathdrum at 6 pm.  Midnight First Eucharist of Christmas preceded by carol singing from 11.40 p.m. in Glenealy Parish Church.  Christmas Day – 9.15 a.m. – St. John’s Festival Eucharist.  11.30 a.m. – Rathdrum Family Service.  Sunday service takes place every week in St. John’s at 9.15 am. 

New Year’s Night Dance

The Wicklow Man will play in the Brockagh Centre on New Year’s night, Wednesday 1 January from 9.30 p.m.  There will be no dance on Christmas Eve, Tuesday 24 December or Tuesday 31 December.  The Wicklow Man will be back in his normal Tuesday night slot on Tuesday 7 January from 9.30 p.m. 

Laragh-Glendalough 6km Trail Run

A 6km Trail Run organised by the Parent’s Association with all proceeds to Scoil Chaoimhin Naofa will take place on Saturday 15 March in Laragh, Co. Wicklow.  Early bird registration before December 31 (12 euro) and normal registration from January (15 euro).  Register at runireland.com – just search for ‘Laragh’ or check March 2014 on the calendar.  More information, route map, training plans and registration at laraghtrailrun.com.  Walkers also welcome.

On-Line Course Celebrations

 Over 40 students completed their Get Yourself Online course in Laragh IT at the Brockagh Centre recently and many came along on Wednesday last to receive their certificates.  Students got to catch up with class mates and enjoy sumptuous refreshments.  The Get Yourself Online courses will run again in the New Year and are particularly suited to those who have little experience in the internet and would like to learn more.  Call Laragh IT on (0404) 45600 in the new year for more information,

AA Meetings

Closed AA Meetings are held in the Brockagh Resource Centre at 8.30 pm every Monday night and will continue in this slot over the Christmas and New Year period.  If you think that you may have a problem with alcohol please come along.
