Christmas Spirit Crafts Fair in the Courthouse Tinahely
On Sunday 8th December 2013 the Christmas Spirit Craft Fair will take place in the Courthouse in Tinahely from 11am to 5pm.

The warm and friendly atmosphere of the Courthouse will be a welcoming place to visit a variety of local Arts and Crafts stalls with paintings, jewellery, glass, basket making, quilting, felting, handmade soaps, beeswax candles, pottery, woodturning, X-mas decorations, plants and flowers.

It will be easy for you to find a unique present for a special person, after which you can sit down and enjoy a nice cup of tea or coffee with a slice of fresh cake provided by Tina Mouritzen. There will be a raffle with lovely prizes of each stall; the raffle is hold in aid of the ICA Senior’s Christmas Dinner.

Support the local artists and visit our Fair, we look forward to seeing you in the beautifully decorated Courthouse!

Christmas Whist Drive
Tinahely Parochial Hall on Thursday December 12 at 8.30 p.m. Turkey, Ham, Bottles etc. Thank you for your support.

Tea/ Coffee Morning
Marita Byrne would like to thank everyone who attended and supported her tea/coffee morning on Sat 26th Oct for The Irish Cancer Society. The total amount raised was €340 which was donated in memory of her Dad Matt O’Neill. Once again a huge thank you to everyone, it was much appreciated.

Tinahely Walking Club
On Sunday December 1 the walk is in Aughrim (B walk), meeting in Tinahely square at 10.30am. On Sunday December 8 the walk is Moyne to Tinahely (C walk), meeting in Tinahely square at 10.30am. Please ensure to wear proper walking boots, to bring adequate food & drink and to pack (or wear) rain gear. Full walking schedule is on the Tinahely.ie website.

Festive December Delights
Padraig D’Arcy from Tinahely will stage “Festive December Delights” in Gorey Little Theatre on Thursday December 5th at 8.30pm. Featuring music from Padraig & his band with some very special guest performances from The Penston Vocal Academy Choir, Chris Noonan and Naoimh Penston. Tickets available from Symes Newsagents, Tinahely; Kavanagh’s Newsagent, Wexford Road, Arklow; The Book Café, 86 Main Street Gorey. Tickets priced at €15 each which includes free Mulled Wine & Mince pies. Treat yourself or a family/friend to an early Christmas Present!

Opening Hours
Tuesday and Wednesday 2.00p.m. – 5.00 p.m and 6.30-8.30 p.m. Thursday 11.00 – 1.30p.m. and 2.30 – 5.00 p.m. Saturday 11.00 am – 1.30 p.m. Free internet access, photocopying and a history section available.

A reading will take place in the library at 11.00 a.m. on Saturday, December 14th. Dermot Meleady will read from his book “John Redmond – The National Leader”. His previous book is Redmond the Parnellite.  His new book has been reviewed in the Sunday Independent and the Irish Times.  His book is on display in all the book shops in Dublin.  Dermot is here at Tinahely Library to talk and sign books so if you would like to come along all are welcome.
