Tinahely Women’s Network
For the members and the women of Tinahely, December 2013 will be remembered for being a month of firsts.
The Tinahely Women’s’ Network Choir initiated last October made its first public appearance singing a medley of carols and Yuletide songs at their first Christmas luncheon in the Farm Shop, Tinahely on 11th December. Forty women all living in Tinahely or surrounding areas enjoyed a first class lunch in their new function room.
It was a wonderful occasion and as everyone knows choirs help unite communities and bring people together, “one community, one choir” there are no divides.
When you go to rehearsals you forget about yourself, whatever stresses you had during the week at home or at work seem to vanish. When you just focus on singing you realise we are all working towards the same goal.
The choir takes a break from now until Wednesday 18th January from 09.30 – 11.00 and we sing in the Farm Shop Tinahely. New members are always welcome so put the date in your new diary and come along.
