€3,500 was raised by eight brave men who either shaved their heads or had a leg wax for Greystones Cancer Support at Hair Today & Gone Tomorrow.
One resilient young man even had his armpits waxed. A real Braveheart.
Watched by a huge and enthusiastic crowd at Mrs. Robinson’s were Robert Fortune, Eoin Buckley and Rohan O Duill, who had their heads shaved, plus Chris Slater, James Doyle, Patrick O’Rourke, Rob Fitzmaurice and Rob Sheridan who had their legs waxed.
Robert Fortune, organiser of the event, says:
I would like to pay tribute to my friends who joined me plus all our supporters for making Hair Today Gone Tomorrow such a success.
It was very rewarding to see such generosity.
Sonia Walsh, Chairman of Greystones Cancer Support, says:
Special thanks to the young men who responded so well to a call for help. We can now start 2014 with a wide range of programmes for our Members to mark Twenty Years as a community cancer support group.
