Operation Transformation Wicklow Town kicks off on Monday the 6th January at 7.00 pm in The Grand Hotel Wicklow. Last time out, those who took part lost the combined weight of a baby elephant and had had good fun doing it! That said it’s not just about weight loss it’s an opportunity for participants to become fitter, enjoy a healthier lifestyle and meet neighbours they haven’t seen in a while. Our generous sponsors who make Operation Transformation Wicklow Town possible and ’free’ of charge are, The Grand Hotel, Burke Oil, Conway Media and Pure Fitness Rathnew.
Just as in 2013 we will have a weekly weigh in followed by a walk and weather permitting we will also meet for a second walk on Saturday mornings for the eight weeks of Operation Transformation. For 2014 we have two Team Leaders namely Valerie McHugh from Wicklow Town and Brian Fanning from Ashford who will be helped in their endeavours by Moe Sheehy and his team at Pure Fitness, Rathnew.
The Event is hosted by Wicklow and District Chamber of Commerce with great help from Bernie Gillespie, Mari Humby and Stella Farrell.
