TINAHELY WALKING CLUB

On Sunday February 9 the walk is in Ballymanus (grade B, 10km), meeting in Tinahely Square at 10.30am. On Sunday February 16the walk is Brown Mountain/Scarr (grade B, 12km), meeting in Tinahely Square at 10.00am. Please ensure to wear proper walking boots, to bring adequate food & drink and to pack (or wear) rain gear. Carnew Training & Development Centre is running

FREE Basic Internet Course for 2 hrs per week x 5 weeks

Starting Wednesday evening 05th February 7pm-9pm

Safe Pass 1 day training Saturday 15th February 8.30am-4.30pm, cost €75

SYMPATHY
Sincere sympathy is extended to the family and relatives of Raymond Rossitter, Deerpark who died during the week and was buried on Thursday.

Congratulations to Shane McCarthy and Gillian Thompson Donishal who were married recently.

Carnew GAA lotto was not won numbers were 14,16,22,23 lucky dips were Trish Curran, c/o Hatchet. Michelle Doran, Conal McCrea, Tom Collins. Next draw is 3rd February and the jackpot is €3,000 tickets only €2 from any member or local shops.
TABLE QUIZ
There is a table quiz on 7th February at 7.45pm in Parkview House Shillelagh, table of four €40 run by the residents and volunteers of Ardeen Cheshire Home Shillelagh. All proceeds to repair of Courthouse Clock, all support is greatly appreciated.
LITTLE ACORNS AFTER SCHOOL
Little Acorns Playschool are running an after school service from Monday – Thursday  junior infants up to 6th class children are collected at 1.40 and 2..40 and 1.50 and 2.50, cost is €6 per child and €10 for 2 or more, contact Eileen on 0539423871.

REGISTRATION NIGHT

Carnew ladies football and camogie club are holding a joint registration night on Thursday 6th February from 7 – 9pm in the sports field
TAE-KWON-DO
Murphy’s Cho’s Tae-Kwon-Do is now enrolling beginners, classes in Carnew National School every Monday and Wednesday juniors 4-7 years 6.30 – 7.15, senior class 8 upwards 7.15 – 8.15 contact Trish Murphy 0876390370.
ASTRO TURF
Carnew GAA’s Astro turf pitch is available for training, get-togethers, children’s parties etc. contact Trevor on 0874121782.
TABLE QUIZ
Carnew Day Centre are holding a table quiz on Wednesday February 12th at 8pm table of four €12, all welcome.
ART PAINTING CLASS
Carnew Day Centre Community Art painting classes will commence on Friday 21st February 10am – 12 noon, for 8 weeks duration, total cost €15 payable on the first day. To book a place please contacts 0539426740/26510 on or before Monday 17th February.
BOXING NIGHT
Tickets are going well for the boxing night between Carnew Emmett’s and Craanford on Saturday 8th February at 8pm in The Amber Springs Hotel Gorey starting at 8pm doors open at 7pm.
MODEL EXHIBITION
A full house is entered for the model exhibition to be held on Sunday 9th February from 11am to 5pm, admission is adults €5 children free please come along and have a look at all models on display.
