Two contestants from Wicklow competed against another on Sunday night for a place in the next round of The Voice of Ireland.
Coláiste Chill Mhantáin student Thomas Kinney and Bray’s Peter Whitford were also joined on stage by Anna O’Hanlon for the battle.
Having picked one too many contestants for her team, Dolores O’Riordan was forced to field three singers with only place in the next round up for grabs.
Thomas, Peter and Ann performed The Script’s ‘Breakeven’ but in the end it was Peter who was chosen by Dolores to continue in the competition.
Peter has now made it through to the live shows which kick off on March 16 and will be hosted live from the Helix by Kathryn Thomas.
