Daffodil Day Cuppa Thanks.

The Daffodil Day Coffee Morning held on Friday 28th March last in The Courthouse Arts Centre, Tinahely was a great success,  raising in excess of €2,000.   A very big thank you to everyone who supported, helped and contributed in any way to  this hugely successful coffee morning Fundraiser.  Proceeds to the Irish Cancer Society.  Thank you for your valued and wonderful support.


On Sunday April 6 the walk is Lobawn (West Wicklow Sugar Loaf) grade B, 12/14k /3 hours approx), meeting in Tinahely Square at10.00am. On Sunday April 13 the walk is Ballinamanogue/Ballycumber loop (grade B, 13k /3.5 hours approx), meeting in Tinahely Square at 11.00am. Please ensure to wear proper walking boots, to bring adequate food & drink and to pack (or wear) rain gear. The annual Trish’s car and tractor run in aid of relay for life in support of the Irish Cancer Society will be held on Sunday 13th April at 1.30pm starting in Hacketstown, Clonmore, Rathvilly and back to Hacketstown for refreshments in the hall. Help us to CELEBRATE, REMEBER AND FIGHT BACK with those who have suffered and are still suffering with cancer, contact Sharon0862007763 or Naomi 0879385892.


A Bible study course will begin on Thursday 3rd April at 8 pm in The Hazel Rooms Carnew,  for 7 weeks, join us as we explore The Sermon on the Mount, for further information contact Michael 0864021407 or check website


Carnew GAA lotto was not won numbers were 1,4,14,25 lucky dips were Maurice Wafer, c/o Snowy. Essie Doran Castlewhite. Tommie Wafer c/o Martin Doyle. Paddy Cummiskey c/o Margaret Doran., next draw was 31st March and the jackpot was €3,800 tickets only €2 from any player or local shop.

An infromation meeting on Carnew Text Alert system will be held in Kennys Lounge Carnew on 10th April at 8pm. This meeting is to inform people that the texting will now come from a text service provider, registration is €10 and can be paid on the night or pay Maureen 0879653852.


Colaiste Bhride lotto held on 25th March was not won numbrs were 7,10,18,24 match three were Ger O’Connor, Carnew and Eileen Doran, Tinahely, next draw is 8th April and the jackpot is €5,400 tickets only €2 from any parent.
