Gardai are investigating a burglary which took place in Knockananna on Tuesday.
It is understood the thieves entered the house just after lunch time, shortly after the occupants had left their home.
The raiders stole a number of items and ransacked the entire house.
Locals told WicklowNews.net that strangers had visited a number of houses in the village before the robbery, asking home-owners had they seen any stray horses.
Gardai would like to speak to the owners of a cream-coloured car that was seen driving around the area on Tuesday morning.
