Tinahely will represent Wicklow as champions in this years All-Ireland Feile after they won the County Feile championship against St Nicholas’ at Ballinakill yesterday.
They played with the wind at their backs in the first half and went in at half time with a lead of 1-6 to 0-1 with the help of a goal from captain Cormac Kenny
St Nicholas made a bright start to the second half and rallied strongly but they couldn’t break down a stubborn Tinahely defence. They gave them a big scare in the closing stages when Thomas Moran rattled the crossbar.
Tinahely held on by three points through and they progressed to the All-Ireland Feile.
Final score: Tinahely 1-8 St Nicholas 2-2
