Dunlavin Playground Committee
Dunlavin Playground Committee are delighted to announce that work will begin on the toddler and junior playground, sensory garden, outdoor toning area and MUGA this week. This will be a wonderful amenity for our village and we are thrilled to see work begin. We have signed a lease for the site with Mr Francis Corrigan and the contract for this development has been awarded to Clearwater Landscapes, Grangecon following the tender process.
As a group we are in awe of the support we have received from the community to date to help us progress the project thus far. However, we need your support now more than ever. Funlavin – our 10K and 5K walk and run is coming up and we’ll need to see out on June 29th 2014 for what promises to be a great day out. Voluntary labour is a key part of our grant application and if you are in a position to donate a few hours voluntary labour we would be extremely grateful. We are looking for all forms of help – stone masons, brick layers, carpenters, painters and gardeners among others – every skill is required. Nobody will be overloaded but any amount of help no matter how big or small would be appreciated. If you are available to help in any way please contact Aisling Grace on 087-9627389.
