Hollywood Notebook – April 7


Bingo takes place in the Hollywood Centre every Thursday night at 8.30pm. We have two jackpots – €3,000 and €1,700 to play for each week.



Our Lotto jackpot now stands at €6,200. Get your tickets for the next draw 10th April from the Hollywood Centre, Daly’s shop and local sellers.

Club takes place every Wednesday 7.30 – 9.30pm for 15 – 18 year olds in the Hollywood Centre.


Hollywood Community Development Association Ltd

HCDA Annual General Meeting will take place in the Hollywood Centre on Monday 14th April at 9pm. All are welcome.



Winners of last week’s whist: Top Score: Kathleen Lawlor. Other winners: Rose Mc Kivern, Christina Browne, Rose Zeller, Ruth Fisher, Billy Hamilton, Teresa Tyrrell, Joe Miley and Ann Clancy. Next whist Monday 28th April at 8.30pm in the Hollywood Centre. All welcome.


Ballymore/Hollywood Boxing Club

Ballymore/Hollywood Boxing Club AGM will take place in the Thatch, Ballymore Eustace on Monday 14th April at 8pm. All welcome.


Hollywood Fair       

The Hollywood Fair will take place from 13th – 17th August 2014.

There will be an open meeting in the Hollywood Centre on Tuesday 22nd April at 8pm. All are welcome.



Bowls every Tuesday and Friday in the Hollywood Centre 8 – 10pm. New members welcome.


Friendship Club

The Friendship Club meet every Wednesday in the Hollywood Centre from 2.15 – 4.15pm. All welcome.


Parent & Toddler Group

Hollywood Parent & Toddler Group meet every Thursday in The Hollywood Centre from 10am to 12noon, cost is €3 per family. Parents / carers can enjoy a chat & light refreshments while the little ones play! New members always welcome.



“Friends of Hollywood Camogie Club” are organising a Reunion & Dance for All – Supporters, Friends & Players (past & present) – on Fri 25th April in Hollywood GAA Clubhouse @ 8pm sharp. Music by ‘Eddie Davitt and the Quality Street Band’. Daffodil Day

Sincere thanks to all who contributed to Daffodil week-end. €300 was collected.


Community First Responders

The Community First Responders are holding their AGM on Monday 14th April at 7.30pm in the Community Centre. Anyone wishing to attend would be most welcome. If anyone would like to train as a responder please contact Billy at 087 7931793 or any of the responders.


No Name Club

Congratulations to all the members of the No Name Club who took part in the Super Talent Regional Finals in Baltinglass last week-end and will now go on to the finals in Limerick on 10th May. Well done to Lauren Richardson and Holly Keogh who came first in the Group Dancing Competition, to all members of the club who took part in the Comedy Act and Film Production who also got first place. We wish them all the best of luck in the finals!


Parish Office

The Parish Office is open from 9.30am to 1pm Monday to Friday. There are Easter Mass Bouquets and cards, First Holy Communion and Confirmation stock now on sale.
