Council and Irish Water called on to rectify water problem in Baltinglass

Fine Geal TD Billy Timmins has called on Irish Water and Wicklow County Council to check the levels of lime in the water supply to the Baltinglass area.

The T.D has contacted the Council about the possibility of getting a filtration system installed for the water system that would rectify the problem, which is an ongoing issue in the area. Irish Water have also been contacted on the matter to see if a solution to the problem can be found as soon as possible.

Speaking today he said “the existence of lime in the water supply in the Baltinglass area is an on-going issue. This causes continuous damage to electrical appliances such as kettles, washing machines, and dishwashers”.

“A solution to this problem will hopefully be found with the collaboration between Wicklow County Council and Irish Water.” he continued.
