Wicklow man Carney to front Sky Sports’ GAA coverage

Former Irish International rugby star and Vallymount GAA player Brian Carney will front Sky Sports GAA coverage along with Rachael Wyse, it was announced today.

Carney, who is currently a presenter on Sky Sports’ rugby league coverage won a Junior A football championship with Vallymount in 1988.

Former All-Ireland winning footballer Peter Canavan and All-Ireland winning hurler Jamesie O’Connor will also form part of the new team along with Nicky English, Paul Earley, Dave McIntyre and Mike Finnerty.

Sky’s first live game will be on June 7 at Nowlan Park for the Leinster Senior Hurling Championship quarter-final bewteen Kilkenny and Offaly
