Set Dance Ceili

The Maureen Dennis Memorial Set Dance Ceili will take place in the Imaal Hall on Friday June 20^th at 9.30pm. All proceeds will go towards St. Brigids Hospice, The Curragh. Music by Syl and Liz. Voluntary Donation.

Delia Murphy Tribute Night

As part of this years Arts Festival a tribute night to Delia Murphy will take place on Saturday June 21^st in Camphill Community Hall, Grangebeg. Tickets €10. Enquiries to 0879693960

Book Launch

The first publication by the newly formed local writers group will take place in Meitheal on Friday June 20^th at 8.30pm. The title” OFF THE BEATEN TRACK” will be launched by local writer and historian Chris Lawlor  This will be followed with music and craic

Funlavin

Funlavin 10K/5K Run and Family Walk will take place on Sunday June 29^th at 11am. The route will be around Dunlavin and will be measured and timed. All proceeds will go towards Dunlavin Playground Project which has commenced work. Register online at www.runireland.com or pick up entry form in the local shops.

Culture Bus

The culture bus will travel to the World Flower Show in the RDS on Thursday June 19^th at 10am.Local woman Ann Heatley will be competing in the event which has never taken place in Ireland. Another competitor well known to Dunlavin flower enthusiasts is Felicity Satchwell a sister of Rita Craigie. Enquiries for bus to 045 401334.

Banquet DVD

A DVD of the recent banquet  which took place in St Nichloas of Myra Church is now available. Cost €5.A nice keepsake to have. To book a copy contact Pauline in the parish office. 045/401871.

Arts Festival Meeting

A meeting to organise Festival 2014 will take place in Rathsallagh Golf Club on June 7^th at 3pm. Anyone interested in helping out with this years festival is invited to attend. The 32^nd festival will take place June 20^th to 22^nd inclusive.

Trip to Knock

Annual trip to knock takes place on July 20th for three days. This outing is supported by the active retirement group in Baltinglass. Deposits to Baltinglass Credit Union on or before 20th April. For more details contact Bridy on 0868881850

Community Text Alert

Community text alert has been launched in the Dunlavin area. Residents can sign up for €10. Forms are in Ed’s Veg shop. People are urged to be vigilant at all times and contact the Gardai if the spot anything suspicious in the area.

Jackpot

Bingo takes place in the Imaal Hall every Saturday night at 9pm.Jackpot waiting to be won now stands at €1600. The funds raised by the Bingo goes towards the upkeep of the Imaal Hall and well worth supporting.
