Senior Hurling Championship
Bray Emmets 2-18 St. Patricks 1-8
Our Senior Hurlers continued their championship campaign with a good win on Sunday in Arklow.
Emmet Bhré 4-9, Carnew 0-9.
The Junior hurlers travelled down to Carnew, Tuesday 8th July to face an uncompromising local team determined not to be beaten in their own backyard. The refereeing was lose and at times the players from both sides took the law into their own hands. Bray however, had more hurling in their arsenal and through Bill Moorehouse, Brian Duggan and goalkeeper Barry Cowan kept their mind on task.
In the second-half, and throughout, defenders Michael Walsh and Cathal Reddin were impervious, with Jordan Lee and Paul Barry also giving very honest accounts of themselves. Finally, the game was capped as a contest when Shane Anders delivered Bray’s fourth goal. He swiftly and skillfully lifted the sliotar, cooly dispatching to the roof of the ‘Carn an Bhua’ rigging.
